New South Wales Game and Feral Animal Control Amendment (COVID-19 Extension of Licences) Regulation 2020 under the Game and Feral Animal Control Act 2002 Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Game and Feral Animal Control Act 2002. ADAM MARSHALL, MP Minister for Agriculture and Western New South Wales Explanatory note The object of this Regulation is to extend, by 1 month, the period for which a current restricted game hunting licence remains in force. The extension applies only if the holder of the licence held a restricted game hunting licence in force at any time between 6 April 2020 and 6 May 2020, during which time permission to hunt game animals in State forests was not given because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This Regulation also allows game hunting licences to be granted for any period up to a maximum of 5 years, rather than only for specified periods of 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 years, and makes a consequential amendment to the fees payable in respect of game hunting licence applications. This Regulation is made under the Game and Feral Animal Control Act 2002, including sections 25(2)(b), 32 and 60 (the general regulation-making power).
