Russian gold moving to India. No agreement with a gold effect and no Indian sanction was found. In practice the route is nearly closed at the bar-standard level: IIBX accepts only LBMA Good Delivery or UAE Good Delivery refiners' bars, and the six Russian LBMA refiners have been suspended since 7 Mar 2022; nominated banks/agencies face no bar-standard rule in the sources read but US secondary-sanctions exposure. India recorded 4 kg of unwrought gold from Russia in 2024.
