GOVERNMENT OF ZAMBIA STATUTORY INSTRUMENT NO. 8 OF 2017 The Water Supply and Sanitation Act (Act No. 28 of 1997) The Water Supply andSanitation (Transfer of Property) Order, 2017 IN EXERCISE of the powers contained in section 40 of the water Supply Act, 1997, the following Order is made. 1. This order may be cited as the Water and Supply and Sanitation (Transfer of Property) Order, 2017. 2. The properties listed in the Schedule shall, on the publication of this order, be transferred from the local authorities specified in the Schedule to the utilities set out in the Schedule. 3. Any obligations, liabilities or legal proceedings in respect of any obligations, liabilities or proceedings vested in, incurred, suffered by or sustained against any local authorities shall subsist or be continued against the respective local authorities.
