No. R. 819 STAATSKOERANT, 7 AUGUSTUS 2009 No. 32463 13 7 August 2009 MARINE LIVING RESOURCES ACT, 1998 (ACT NO. 18 OF 1998): AMENDMENT OF REGULATIONS FOR THE MANA-GEMENT OF BOAT BASED WHALE WATCHING AND THE PROTECTION OF TURTLES I. Buyelwa Patience Sonjica, the Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs, under subsections (I )(b), 2(g}. (2)(x)(v) and 2(y) of section 77 of the Marine Living Resources Act. 1998 (Act No. 18 of 1998), hereby amend the regulations published under .-99-v.e-rJl1n.e r1 Notice No. R. 725 of 4 July 2008 as set out in the Schedule. / /~( ,J ,,· B YELWA SONJICA INISTER OF WATER AND F..NVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS SCHEDULE Definitions 1. ln this schedule .. the Regulations•· means the regulations published under Government Notice No. R. 725 of 4 July 2008. Ame11dment of Regulation 5 of Regulations 2. Regulation 5 of the regulations is hereby amended by the insertion in paragraph (e) of sub-regulation (2} after the words '"by the South African Qualifications Authority" of the following words: ··or equivalent qualification.". Amendment of Regulation 6 of Regulations 3. Regulation 6 of the regulations is hereby amended by the insertion in paragraph (b) of sub-regulation ( 1) at\er the words "by the South African Qualifications Aulhority .. of the following words; ··or equivalent qualification.".
