Assent : 19/6/89 Commencement : 26/6/89 REPUBLIC OF VANUATU THE VANUATU COMMODITIES MARKETING BOARD (AMENDMENT) ACT No. 18 OF 1989 To amend the Vanuatu Commodities Marketing Board Act No. 18 of 1981. BE IT ENACTED by the President and Parliament as follows: REPLACEMENT OF SECTION 9 OF ACT No. 10 OF 1981 1. Section 9 of the Vanuatu Commodities 1-tarketing Board Act No. 10 of 19-21 is repealed and the following section is substituted: "(1). The Board shall with the prior approval of the Minister and subject to subsection (2), appoint a General Manager of the Board upon such terms and conditions as it thinks fit. (2) The General Manager who shall be the chief executive of the Board and of all its operations, shall be appointed for a term not exceeding five years and may with the prior approval of the Minister be eligible for re-appointment. (3) The Board may appoint and employ a secretary to the Board and such other officers and employees as may be required for the proper and efficient discharge of the functions of the Board." COMMENCEMENT 2. This Act shall come into force on the date of its publication in, the Gazette.
