60 OFFICIAL GAZETTE No.15 (31-5-1998) Directive No.19/1998/CT-TTg of April 17, 1998 on the urgent measures against forest fires. The Prime Minister instmcts: No.15 (31-5-1998) OFFICIAL GAZETTE 61 The presidents of the People's Committees at all levels shall have to: - Direct, urge, organize various forces. mobilize available means and apply technical advances to the forest fire prevention and fight in the areas under their respective management: - Direct n1nger, army and police forces in handling cases that cause forest fires: - Authorities at provincial and district levels shall have to improve and strengthen the professional fire brigades. and at the same mobilize army and police units as reinforcement for forest fire prevention and fight. - To etTetivcly perform the above-said tasks, the concerned levels and branches shall have to expeditiously organize and train forest fire brigades: set out regime of allowances for contractual forest protectors in communes during the dry season: regime applicable to persons with merits and persons who arc injured or killed while conducting forest fire prevention and fight activities. pursuing forest destroyers to protect forests: and draft fund estimates for forest fire prevention and fight then submit them to the Prime Minister for approval.-
