Assessment of forest resources.' a/ Compiling a collectfon of data on forest resourcer, for the entire cycle (2001-2005). ·· Annual collections of data on forest natu1·al resources. Annual maps of the forest situations, with different sizes and scales in the database, to be printed out in 2004: · + A natiorial tnap with a scale of 1/.l,000,000 + Regional maps with a scale Of 1l:z°50;000 + Pmvincial maps with a scale ·of1t100,000 b/ Surveying forest reserves and oUie~Jeatures: Complementing and periectin~ ,tfrd system of survey squares, proceeding from the syst~m of primary squares with a total of 4,200 squares, including 3,621 squares belonging to cycle II to be re-surveyed and 579 supplemented squares,of the newly-planted forest areas. · From tile system of primary squa.res and the types of forest all over the country; to ,$elect and establish 100 ecological research locations for monitoring and studying the -basic' forest features. cl Surveying and making topical reports: Studying !11(~ changes in the structure of natural forests of a number of forest states. Ht,por t on H1ci rcisults of the who lo program in ?00/i Atticle 3.- To as;;iqn Ille Ministry of A~Jriculture ::ind f~u1·ol Developnient beinq the progranHnanaging body the following responsibilities: ·1 . · 1 o assume the prirne responsrbi!ity together with the concerned ministries and branches in evaluating and deciding on the concrete contents of the program, ,lpprove the outlines and estimated budgets of the Program on survey, <'.1ssessment and monitoring of changes in forest resources nationwide in the 2001-· 2005 period. 2. To direct the agencies of the Ministry (the Forest Planning and Survey Institute and the Forest Ranger Department) to organize the program implementation, to certify the annual results of the program implementation on the basis of the lnstitute's acceptance report. 3. To organize the acceptance of the program results at the end of the cycle (2005) and submit them to the Prime Minister for approval. 4. To direct the superv'ision of the observance of the regulatfons on the annual and whole-cycle final settlements of economic non-business capital under the guidance of the Ministry of Finance, and of the labor norms under the gulda.nce of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. 5. Formulating the outlines and estimated budgets of the Program on survey, assessment and monitoring of changes in forest resources natiorrw\de the 2006 2010 period after the termination of the third cycle of !tie program. 6.
