Game (Prcscn)alion a11d : :ontrol) !Cap. 226. 3087 THE GAME (Pf' ~SERVATION AND CONTR Ji) ACT. Statutory fostrumrnt 226-8. Authority To Use Poison. (Section 33 of the Act). 1. The use of poison in the Acholi District for the purpose of killing baboons causing or being likely to cause loss, damage or destruction of or to :1nything on occupied hnd or crops or domestic animals is ,tuthoriscd subject to the followi1u,; conditions {a) such poison shall be t1,;cd only on occupied bnd; and ( b) such poison shall not be handled or controlled by :rny person other than :1 \·cnnin poisoner duly appointed by the Acholi District administration. 2. The use is hereby :wthoriscd of poison (a), by the Bunyoro Ranching Company Limited for the purpose of killing hyenas on the company's estate; (b) by the Garnc \Varden, Kararnoja, for the purpose of killing hyenas in Karamoja District in such areas as he rnay think necessary for the protec t ion of human lift , ;1 nd d r1niest ic :1 n imals.
