This Order may be cited as the Forests (minimum felling girth limits) Order, 1996. Sh. rt title 2. The expressions used in the Order shall. unless the context other wise requires. have the meanings as defined below them in section 2 of the Forests Ordinance (herein after referred to as "the Ordinance Cap. 389"). 3. It is hereby prohibited to cut or remove any trees or forest produce from any area without a licence or written authority by a Forest Officer responsible for the area intended to operate. 4. Any person or persons licensed or authorized to cut or fell any tree for purposes of timber production shall not he allowed to cut or feU any tree species in the schedule below as specified on columns 1 and 2 which shall be below the stated minimum felling girths in columns 3 and 4. 5. Any person or persons, who cor.travenes the provisions of this Order shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be fined not less than one hundred and fifty thousand shillings but not more than two hundred and fifty thousand shillings or to a term of imprisonment of not less than seven years but not exceeding fifteen years. 19 The Or fer Fdling gi~h or limits Penalty Forests (Minimu m Felling girth limits ) G.
