Ministerial Decree No. 27 of 2007 on the Establishment of a Semi-Autonomous Agri-Business Investment Promotion Centre

MINSTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY OFFICE OF THE MINISTER MINISTERIAL DECREE NO :( 27) FOR 2007 Establishment of a Semi-Autonomous Agri-Business Investment Promotion Centre In support of the efforts for promoting the role of the agricultural sector and in coping with economic and social development in the country and in line with the objectives of the 5-Year Plan for the agricultural sector and with view of enhancing and strengthening the agricultural investment, the Government of Sudan signed with FAO a TCP agreement for Establishing of a Semi-Autonomous Agri-Business Investment Promotion Centre (ABIC); I hereby decree the following: 1. Establishment of an Agri-Business Investment Promotion Centre in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry composed of all partners in the private and public sectors; 2. Appointment of Mr. Suleiman Ahmed as Director of the Centre; 3. The Centre should deliver its functions as outlined in the TCP agreement signed by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and FAO; All parties concerned should immediately put this Decree into force.
