Water Supply (Treated Water) (Charges) (Amendment) Regulations, 2013 (S.I. 75 of 2013)

[31st October 2013] Supplement to Official Gazette 1311 S.I. 75 of 2013 PUBLIC UTILITIES CORPORATION ACT (Cap 196) Water Supply (Treated Water) (Charges) (Amendment) Regulations, 2013 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 17 of the Public Utilities Corporation Act, the Minister of Environment and Energy makes the following Regulations 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Water Supply (Treated Water) (Charges) (Amendment) Regulations, 2013 and shall come into force on 1st November, 2013. Citation and commencement 2. The Water Supply (Treated Water) (Charges) Regulations, 1994 are amended by repealing the Schedule and substituting therefor the following Schedule Amendment of Cap. 196 Sub. Leg. P3 as last amended by S.1. 21 of2012 "SCHEDULE (Regulation 2) 1. Water and Sewerage Charges- Water Sewerage Charge Charge (a) for commercial or Government premises- R. C. R. C. (i) in respect of monthly consumption of water A. not exceeding 5m3 a fixed charge 104.89 60.72 B. exceeding 5m3, but not exceeding 100m3• 27.61 12.14 C. exceeding 100m3 35.51 18.22 (ii] plus fixed monthly charge 10.00 ~ 1312 Supplement to Official Gazette [31st October 2013] (iii) environment charge 15.00; (b) for government premises (i) in respect of monthly consumption of water A. not exceeding 5m3, a fixed charge 138.06 60.72 B. exceeding 5m3, but not exceeding 10m3 27.61 12.14 C. exceeding 10m3 35.51 18.22 (ii) plus a fixed monthly charge 10.00 (iii) environment charge 15.00; (c) for the provision of ships 40.00; (d) Premises other than commercial or Government premises (i) in respect of monthly consumption of water A. The charge Per M3 for water supplied by motor tanker for the purpose of filling a private water tank. 100.00 3. Connection charges for Water Supply (a) for connection to commercial or 1,580.00 government premises where the internal diameter of the service pipe does not exceed 20mm and the length of the service pipe does not exceed Sm. (b) for connection to premises other than a 845.00 commercial or Government premises where the internal diameter of service pipe does not exceed 20mm and the length of the service pipe does not exceed Sm; 4. Charges for reconnection of water supply (a) where the water supply has been disconnected for non payment of an account (i) in the case of a reconnect ion to commercial or Government premises or to a premises used for the supply of water to ships; 1,053.00 (ii) in the case of reconnection to other Premises; 105.28 (b) where water supply to premises has been No charge temporarily disconnected during the absence of the occupier of the premises or when the premises has changed occupier. 5.
