[16th August 20161 Supplement to Ofiicial Gazette 333 S.l. 52 of 2016 ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION ACT (Cap 7l) Environment Protection (Landscape and Waste Management Agency) (Amendment) Regulations, 2016 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 12(2) and40 of the Environment Protection Act, the Minister responsible for Environment, Energy and Climate Change hereby makes the following Regulations l. These Regulations may be cited as theEnvironment Protection (Landscape and Waste Management Agency) (Amendment) Regulations, 20 1 6. 2. The Environment Protection (Landscape and Waste Management Agency) Regulations is hereby amended as follows (a) by inserting after regulation 5, the following regulation Appointmenr "5A.(1) The Minister shall appoint a ilXllt',:,:i' person to be the Deputy Chief E,xecutive E^e"uiiu" Officer of the Agency on such terms and orficer conditions as may be applicable to an employee of a public body. (2) The Deputy Chief Executive may perform the functions of the Chief Executive Officer (a) during the vacancy in the office of the Chief Executive Officer; or Citation Amendrnent of S.l. 29 of2009 334 Supplement to Official Gazette [16th August 2016] (b) during any period in which the Chief Executive Officer is absent from duty for any reason, or is unable to perform the functions of that office; and (c) perform such other functions as the Chief Executive Officer may delegate."
