Agricultural Pesticides (Amendment) Rules 1990 (S.R.O. No. I of 1990)

(1)/90.- In exercise of the powers confered by Section 29 of the Agricultural Pesticides Ordinance,1971 (II of 1971), the Fcde r a l Government, in consultation with the Agricultural Pesticide lechnical Advisory Committee, is pleased to direct that the folloWing further amendment shall be made in the Agricultural Pesticides Rules,1973, the same having been previously PUblished as required by suo-section (1) of the said section, namely : In the aforesaid Rules, (a) after rule 11, the folloWing neW rule shall b~ inserted, namely: "11 A. Licensing of dealers and vendors of pesticides.- (16 N. persen shall store tor sale or put on sale any pesticide unless he is e:tul~ licenced for this purpeae , (2) A person licenced as dealer or vendor shall unde rtake .: in wri ting to maintain a ledge-zr of sales of pesticides and record therein the names of buyers. (3) The licence shall only be issued to those Who have been duly trained by the Federal Agencit Provincial Governments or Pakistan Agricultural Pesticides Association in safe handling, storage, transportation and use of pesticides. (4) Every application for licence shall be made to the Federal Government in Form 12 Which shall accompany With a fee of three hundred rupees. (6) A licence granted under this rule shall be valid for a period of three years from the aate of issue and may be rerewed tor a .rur tne r period o! three years at a time on an applicT ation made in this behalf in Form 14 Which shall accompany with a renewal fee of three hundred rupees. (7) The certificate of renewal of licence shall be issued by the Fed~ral Government in Form 15. (6) A licence granted to a dealer shall liable to be cancelled if the dealer/vendor is found guilty of mal-practices involving adulteration, infringement of patent rights or any other activity repugnant to the Agricultural Pestici des Ordinance, 1971, and the rules made there under." and (b) after Form 11, the follo"/i.Llg neW Forms ahall be added, namely: "FORM 12 (See rule 11A(4) ) APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION AS DEALERl VENDOR OF THE AGRICULTURAL PESTICIDES.
