Series of 2024 SUBJECT COMPOSITION OF THE NATIONAL TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP (NTWG) FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NATIONAL PLAN OF ACTION FOR SMALL SCALE FISHERIES (NPOA-SSF) In the exigency of service to facilitate the formulation of the National Plan of Action for Small Scale Fisheries (NPOA-SSF) consistent with the United Nations Food and Agriculture (FAO) Voluntary Guidelines for Sustainable Small-Scale Fisheries in the Context of Food Security and Poverty Eradication, the National Technical Working Group (NTWG) on NPOA SSF is hereby created and shall be composed of the following: Chairperson Vice-Chairperson Members ATTY. Lead the formulation of the National Plan of Action for Small Scale Fisheries; 2. Encourage and support the role and involvement of men, women and other vulnerable sectors along the SSF value chain; 3. Facilitate sharing and document experiences, learnings, and best practices in the implementation of the action plan for SSF; 4. Identify issues and concerns on SSF and provide recommendations/ measures for the effective and efficient implementation of the plan; and 5. Actively participate in relevant discussions in fishery policy-making processes and in the implementation of the SSF. Functions of the Secretariat 1. Provide technical and administrative support in the activities of the National Technical Working Group; 2. Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, consultations, and other activities of the NTWG-SSF, prepare and present working documents/reports as may be necessary; and 3. Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the NTWG Chairperson. This Order takes effect immediately and shall remain in force until revoked in writing.
