Section 1 of the Principal Act is amended by repealing the definition of "Local Medical Authority" and replacing it with the following: "'Local Medical Authority' means a Local Medical Authority appointed under the Natio11al Health Admi11istratio11 Act 1997;". 2. REPEAL OF SECTION 4.
Section 4 of the Principal Act is repealed. 3. REPEAL OF SECTION 5.
Section 5 of the Principal Act is repealed. 4. ASSISTANT LOCAL MEDICAL AUTHORITIES (AMENDMENT OF
SECTION7).
Section 7 of the Principal Act is amended - (a) in line 1, by inserting before the words "the Minister" the symbols and figure "(] )"; and (b) by adding the following new Subsection:- "(2) An Assistant Local Medical Authority appointed under Subsection (i) - ' Public Healtlt (Ami11istratio11). (a) is answerable to, and subject to the directions of, the Local Medical Authority; and (b) has such powers and functions as are delegated to him under this Act by the Local Medical Authority.".
