Price JOe 1983/301 THE FISHERIES (T AWHARANUI PENINSULA) NOTICE 1988 PURSUANT to section 89 of the Fisheries Act 1983 and the Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1983, the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries hereby gives the following notice. NOTICE 1. Title and commencment-(I) This notice may be cited. as the Fisheries (Tawharanui Peninsula) Notice 1983. (2)This notice shall come into force on the 1st day ofJanuary 1984. 2. Interpretation-Words and expressions in this notice which are defined in the Fisheries Act 1983 and the Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1983 shall, unless the context otherwise requires, have the meanings so defined. 8. Restrictions on taking fish and seaweed in the vicuuty of Tawharanui Peninsula-No person shall take any fish or seaweed from that area of New Zealand fisheries waters lying on the northern side of Tawharanui Peninsula inside a line drawn from a point 36°21.8' S and 174°49.3'E; and then in a northerly direction to a point 36°21.4'S and 174°49.6'E; and then in a generally easterly direction by a line every point of which is half a nautical mile from high-water mark to a point 36°21.3' S and 174°51.7'E; and then by a straight line due South to a point 36°21.8'S and 174°51.7'E. EXPLANATORY NOTE This note is not part ofthe notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect. This notice prohibits taking of any fish or seaweed from New Zealand fisheries waters in the prescribed area around the Tawharanui Peninsula. Issued under the authority of the Regulations Act 1936.
