These regulations may be cited as the Fisheries and Marine Resources (Fishing of Sea Cucumbers) (Amendment) Regulations 2020. 2. In these regulations – “principal regulations” means the Fisheries and Marine Resources (Fishing of Sea Cucumbers) Regulations 2009. 3. Regulation 3 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting the words “Subject to regulation 4, the” and replacing them by the word “The”. 4. Regulation 4 of the principal regulations is revoked and replaced by the following regulation – 4. (1) No person shall fish any – (a) undersized sea cucumber; or (b) sea cucumber at sea from 1 March 2020 to 31 December 2023 without the authorisation of the Permanent Secretary. (2) Paragraph 1 shall not apply where a person has been authorised pursuant to section 8(1) of the Act or regulation 3. 5. These regulations shall come into operation on 1 March 2020.
