B 919 VERŻJONI ELETTRONIKA B 919 L.N. 115 of 2014 PLANT QUARANTINE ACT (CAP. 433) Vegetable Propagation and Planting Material (Amendment) Regulations, 2014 IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 32 of the Plant Quarantine Act, the Minister for Sustainable Development, the Environment and Climate Change, in conjunction with the Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights, has made the following regulations: Citation and scope. S.L. 433.13 1. (1) The title of these regulations is the Vegetable Propagation and Planting Material (Amendment) Regulations, 2014, and these regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Vegetable Propagation and Planting Material Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations". (2) The scope of these regulations is to transpose Commission Implementing Directive 2013/45/EU amending Council Directives 2002/55/EC and 2008/72/EC and Commission Directive 2009/145/ EC as regards the botanical name of tomato. Amends Schedule I to the principal regulations. 2. In Table 1.1 of Schedule I to the principal regulations, for the words "Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.", there shall be substituted the words "Solanum lycopersicum L.". Amends Schedule III to the principal regulations. 3. In Table 1.2 of Schedule III to the principal regulations, for the words "Lycopersicon lycopersicum". there shall be substituted the words "Solanum lycopersicum L.".
