S.L. 433. 30. 1. (1) The title of these regulations is the Seeds of Agricultural Plants and Vegetables (Amendment No. 3) Regulations, 2020 and these regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Seeds of Agricultural Plants and Vegetables, hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations". (2) The scope of these regulations is to transpose Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2020/432 of 23 March 2020 amending Council Directive 2002/55/EC with regards to the definition of vegetables and the list of genera and species in Article 2(1)(b). Amends regulation 3 of the principal regulations. 2. In regulation 3 of the principal regulations, the definition "vegetables" shall be substituted by the following new definition: " "vegetables" means plants of the genera and species and all hybrids of the species and groups listed in Table 1.5 of Schedule I, intended for agricultural or horticultural production, but not for ornamental uses.".
