(1) It-titolu ta’ dawn ir-regolamenti hu Regolamenti ta’ l-2011 li jemendaw ir-Regolamenti dwar Solventi Estrattivi fi Ħwejjeġ ta’ l-Ikel, u għandhom jinqraw u jifthiemu ħaġa waħda mar-Regolamenti ta’ l-1999 dwar Solventi Solventi Estrattivi fi Ħwejjeġ ta’ l-Ikel, hawn izjed ’il quddiem imsejħa “ir-regolamenti prinċipali”. (2) Dawn ir-regolamenti għandom jitqiesu li daħħlu fis seħħ fil-15 ta’ Settembru 2011. 2. Regolamenti 3 jimplementa il-provvedimenti tad Direttiva tal-Kummissjoni 2010/59/UE tas-26 ta’ Awwissu 2010 li temenda d-Direttiva 2009/32/KE dwar l-approssimazzjoni tal liġijiet tal-Istati Membri rigward is-solventi ta’ estrazzjoni użati fil-produzzjoni tal-oġġetti tal-ikel u l-ingredjenti tal-ikel. 3. (1) Fir- regolament 3.3 tar-regolamenti prinċipali, minnufih wara l-entrata għall-‘propan-2-ol’, għandu jiżdied dan li ġej: “Dimethyl ether Preparazzjoni ta’ prodotti ta’ proteini ta’ annimali mingħajr xaħam 0,009 mg/ kg fil-prodott ta’ proteina b i x - x a ħ a m imneħħi”. B 4959VERŻJONI ELETTRONIKA L.N. 405 of 2011 FOOD SAFETY ACT (CAP. 449) Extraction Solvents for Foodstuffs (Amendment) Regulations, 2011 IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 10 of the Food Safety Act, the Minister for Health, the Elderly and Community Care, has made the following regulations: 1. (1) The title of these regulations is the Extraction Solvents for Foodstuffs (Amendment) Regulations, 2011, and they shall be read and construed as one with the Extraction Solvents for Foodstuffs Regulations, 1999, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”. (2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force on the 15th September 2011. 2. Regulation 3 implements the provisions of Commission Directive 2010/59/EU of 26 August 2010 amending Directive 2009/32/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the approximation of the laws of the Member States on extraction solvents used in the production of foodstuffs and food ingredients. 3. (1) For regulation 3.3 of the principal regulations, immediately after the entry for ‘propan-2-ol’, there shall be added the following: “Dimethyl ether Preparation of defatted animal protein products 0,009mg/kg in the defatted protein product”. (2) In regulation 3.4 of the principal regulations, there shall be added the following : “Methanol 1,5 mg/kg Propan-2-ol 1 mg/kg”. Citation and commencement. L.N. 25 of 1999. Scope.
