The title of these regulations is the Conservation of Wild Birds (Declaration of a Derogation for the Control of Sturnus vulgaris and Columba livia) Regulations, 2023. Interpretation. S.L. 549.42 2. Unless the context otherwise requires, terms and expressions used in these regulations, shall have the same meaning as given in the Conservation of Wild Birds Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the Wild Birds Regulations". Control restriction. 3. This derogation only applies for the control of Sturnus vulgaris and Columba livia. Establishment of control period. 4. The period for the control of Sturnus vulgaris and Columba livia shall be for a one (1) year period from the date of publication of these regulations. Control according to set framework. S.L. 549.85 5. The control of Sturnus vulgaris and Columba livia shall be in accordance with the provisions of the framework laid down by the Conservation of Wild Birds (Framework for Allowing a Derogation for the Control of Birds in the Interest of Air Safety) Regulations and the Wild Birds Regulations.
