Regulation on the method of use , maintenance, protection, marking and length of the coast, name and place of the fishermen’s posts

Pursuant to the Article 27 paragraph 5 of the Law on Marine Fishery and Mariculture (Official Gazette of Montenegro, No. 56/09), the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development adopted the following RULEBOOK ON THE METHOD OF USE, MAINTENANCE, PROTECTION, MARKING AND LENGTH OF THE COAST, NAME AND PLACE OF THE FISHERMEN’S POSTS Article 1 This Rulebook lays down the method of use, maintenance, protection and marking as well as the length of the coast, the name and the place of the fishermen’s posts in the Bay of Boka Kotoroska. Article 2 The fishermen’s posts shall be used at nights only, and during daylight up to seven hours. Article 3 Use of certain fishermen’s posts in the Bay of Boka Kotorska shall be agreed consensually by holders of the permits for commercial fishing. Article 4 Holders of the permit for commercial fishing of small pelagic fish in a certain fishermen’s posts shall, after fishing, leave the site in a condition that enables its unhindered use as a bathing place. Article 5 In a distance of 100 m from the fishermen’s posts, it shall be prohibited to leave any rocks, debris, car wrecks or other solid objects that could hinder towing of nets, and it shall be prohibited to fence the sea by ropes, buyos as well as to place poles with strong street lights in the immediate vicinity of the post. Article 6 The fishermen’s post has to be marked visibly by a metal galvanized table, with the name written in capital letters, ordinal number and the length of the coast belonging to it. The form and contents of the table for marking of a fishermen’s post is presented in the annex, which is printed with this Rulebook that it is integral part of.
