LEGAL NOTICE NO. 35 OF 1981 Agricultural Marketing (Beans, Peas, Maize and Sorghum) Regulations 1981 In exercise of the powers vested in me by section 4 of the Agricultural Marketing Act 1967, I, Peete N. Peete Acting Minister of Agriculture and Marketing make the following Regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Agricultural Citation Marketing (Beans, Peas, Maize and Sorghum) Regulations 1981. ~~. In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise re quires: "beans" means the dry threshed ripe seed of all varieties de rived from the Species Phaseolus Vulgaris, Phaseolus Multiflorus, Phaseolusacutifolius, vioia faba and Phaseo Ius Lunatus. "Peas" means the dry threshed ripe seed of all varieties de rived from the Species Pisum Satinum and Vigna Sine nsis. :~. (a) The new Co-op Lesotho Ltd. shall be the sole buyer of Beans and Peas on its own or using its Agents. (b) The new Co-op Lesotho Ltd. shall be the sole buyer of maize and Sorghum using its Agents Including Lesotho Mrlling Company. 4. Section 6 and 7 of the schedule to the Agricultural Marketing (Price Control) Regulations and section 6 (1) of Legal Notice No.5 of 1977 are repealed and replaced by the following. 5. The buying price of beans for Smail White Haricots, Sugar Beans and Speckled Sugar beans will be M52.00 per 70 kg bag. For other types the price will be M45.00 per 70 kg. bag. For undergrade the price will be M7.50 per 70 kg bag. 6. The buying price of peas shall be M31.01 per 70 kg bag or M445.00 per ton. 7. The buying price of Maize shall be M12.27 per 70 kg bag or M175.00 per ton.
