Regulations The Issuance of Certificates of Competence for Skippers (Local Fishing Boats) Regulations, 2019 published in the Gazette Extraordinary No. 2126/6 of June 3, 2019 are hereby amended in regulation 10 thereof, by the insertion of the following regulations immediately after regulation 10 thereof: “10A. A skipper license issued to any person under regulation 10, may be suspended or revoked for such period as may be determined by the Director-General, if such person is found to have been engaged in fishing operations in contravention of the provisions of the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Act, No. 2 of 1996 and regulations made thereunder. 10B. A skipper whose license has been suspended or revoked under regulation 10A, shall not serve as a skipper or as a crew member on any local fishing boat specified in regulation 2 of these regulations, for such period as may be determined by the director General under regulation 10a.”. eoG 02 - 0009 PRINTED AT THE DEPARTMENT OF GOVERNMENT PRINTING, SRI LANKA.
