Article 1. - All fishing vessels operating in the territorial waters of Kuwait shall use the minimum measurements of meshes as explained below: No. Fishing gear used The Minimum measurement of the mesh by millimeter 1. Crawling Net (Al Rufa) 50 millimeter 2. Non-movable Net (Alshurkh) 90 3. Movable Net (Al Leskh) 100 to Alzeibeidi fish 4. Movable Net (Al Leekh) 80 to Alsabour fish 5. Movable Net (Al Leekh) 40 to Almeed fish
Article 2. - A grace period of 3 months shall be given to the owners of fishing vessels operating in the territorial waters of Kuwait before using the nets specified in this Decree.
Article 3. - Anyone violating this decree shall be subject to the penalties provided for in the Law N° 46 of 1980.
