L.-33004/99 vlk/kj.k EXTRAORDINARY Hkkx II—[k.M 3—mi&[k.M (ii) PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) izkf/dkj ls izdkf'kr PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY la- 2377] ubZ fnYyh] 'kqØokj] tqykbZ 19] 2019@vk"kk<+ 28] 1941 No. 2377] NEW DELHI, FRIDAY, JULY 19, 2019/ASHADHA 28, 1941 �वा��य और प रवार क�याण म�ंालय�वा��य और प रवार क�याण म�ंालय�वा��य और प रवार क�याण म�ंालय�वा��य और प रवार क�याण म�ंालय ((((�वा��य और प रवार क�याण िवभाग)�वा��य और प रवार क�याण िवभाग)�वा��य और प रवार क�याण िवभाग)�वा��य और प रवार क�याण िवभाग) अिधसूचनाअिधसूचनाअिधसूचनाअिधसूचना नई �द�ली, 19 जुलाई, 2019 काकाकाका.आ.आ.आ.आ. 2607. 2607. 2607. 2607(अ(अ(अ(अ))))....————जब�क, यह के �ीय सरकार क� जानकारी म� लाया गया ह ै�क पशु�, खा� उ पादक पशु�, कु!कुट, जल कृिष और पशुचारा अनुपूरक आहार म� कोिलि,टन और इसक� िविन/मितयाँ का उपयोग मनु2य के िलए हािनकारक ह;ै और जब�क, ओषिध तकनीक� सलाहकार बोड5 ने उ6 मामल ेपर िवचार �कया ह ैऔर खा� उ पादक पशु�, कु!कुट, जल कृिष और पशुचारा अनुपूरक आहार के िलए उ6 ओषिध और इसक� िविन/मितयाँ को िनिष7 करने क� िसफा9रश क� ह;ै और जब�क, के �ीय सरकार का समाधान ह ै�क खा� उ पादक पशु�, कु!कुट, जल कृिष और पशुचारा अनुपूरक आहार के िलए उ6 ओषिध और इसक� िविन/मितयाँ के िविनमा5ण, िव;य और िवतरण को लोकिहत म� िनिष7 करना आव<यक और समीचीन ह;ै अतः अब, ओषिध और =साधन साम?ी अिधिनयम, 1940 (1940 का 23) क� धारा 26क Dारा =दE शि6यF का =योग करते Gए, के �ीय सरकार एतHारा— (क) िनIिलिखत ओषिध के िविनमा5ण, िव;य और िवतरण को त काल =भाव स ेिनिष7 करती ह,ै अथा5त्:- “खा� उ पादक पशु�, कु!कुट, जल कृिष और पशुचारा अनुपूरक आहार के िलए कोिलि,टन और इसक� िविन/मितयाँ” और (ख) िनदशे दतेी ह ै�क कोिलि,टन और इसक� िविन/मितया ँके िविनमा5ता इस ओषिध के आधान पर लेबल लगाएंगे और उ6 ओषिध और इसक� िविन/मितयाँ के पैकेज़ के िन/वM म� और =ो साहनपरक सािह य म� ,पM रीित से “खा� उ पादक पशु�, कु!कुट, जल-कृिष और पशुचारा अनुपूरक आहार म� उपयोग के िलए नहN” शOदF का उ�लेख कर�गे। [फा. सं. ए!स.11014/8/2019-डीआर] डॉ. मनदीप के. भX डारी, संयु! त सिचव 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)] MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (Department of Health and Family Welfare) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 19th July, 2019 S.O. 2607(E).—Whereas, it is brought to the notice of the Central Government that the use of the drug Colistin and its formulations for food producing animals, poultry, aqua farming and animal feed supplements is likely to involve risk to human beings; And whereas, the Drugs Technical Advisory Board has considered the said matter and recommended for prohibiting the said drug and its formulations for food producing animals, poultry, aqua farming and animal feed supplements; And whereas, the Central Government is satisfied that it is necessary and expedient in the public interest to prohibit the manufacture, sale and distribution of the drug Colistin and its formulations for food producing animals, poultry, aqua farming and animal feed supplements; Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by section 26A of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (23 of 1940), the Central Government hereby― (a) prohibits the manufacture, sale and distribution of the following drug with immediate effect, namely:― “Colistin and its formulations for food producing animals, poultry, aqua farming and animal feed supplements”; and (b) directs that the manufacturer of Colistin and its formulations shall label the container of the drug and mention the words “NOT TO BE USED IN FOOD PRODUCING ANIMALS, POULTRY, AQUA FARMING AND ANIMAL FEED SUPPLEMENTS” in conspicuous manner on the package insert and promotional literature of the said drug and its formulations.
