THE NAGALAND VILLAGE AND AREA COUNCILS (AMENDMENT) ACT 1985. (NAGALAND ACT NO. 6 OF 1987) (Received the assent of !he Govemor on 7th Apti~ 1987) An Act .to amend the Nagaland Village and Area Councils Acl, 197H. It i; hereby enacted by the Nagaland State Legislature in the thirty sixth year of the Republic of India as· follows : 1. Short title, extent and comrueucement. (1) This Act may be called the Nagaland Village and Area Councils (Amendment)· Act, 1985. (2) It extends lo whole of State of Nagaland. 0) It shall come inlo force un such date as lhe State Governmenl may be notification in the Official Gazeue appoint. 2. Section 14 of the Nagaland Village and Area Councils Act, 197M (Act No. 1 of 1979) .'ihall be dcle!cd. 119
