I, SIMON COVENEY, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communi ties Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving full effect to Com mission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1235/2012 of 19 December 20121, hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Official Controls on the Import of Food of Non-Animal Origin for Pesticide Residues) (Amendment) Regulations 2013. 2. The European Communities (Official Controls on the Import of Food of Non-Animal Origin for Pesticide Residues) Regulations 2011 (S.I. No. 426 of 2011) are amended by substituting in Regulation 2(1) for the definition of “Commission Regulation 669/2009” the following— “ ‘Commission Regulation 669/2009’ means Commission Regulation (EC) No. 669/2009 of 24 July 20092 as amended by Commission Regulation (EU) No. 212/2010 of 12 March 20103 and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1235/2012 of 19 December 2012;”. 3. The European Communities (Official Controls on the Import of Food of Non-Animal Origin for Pesticide Residues) (Amendment) (No.4) Regulations 2012 (S.I. No.418 of 2012) are revoked.
