I, Joe W alsh, M inister for A griculture, Food and R ural D evelopm ent, in exercise of the pow ers conferred on m e by Section 3 of the E uropean C om m unities A ct, 1972 (N o. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving effect to C om m ission D irective 2001/32/E C of 8 M ay 2001 1(1) and to C om m ission D irective 2001/33/E C of 8 M ay 2001 2(1) hereby m ake the follow ing R egulations: 1. (1) T hese R egulations m ay be cited as the E uropean C om m unities (Introduction of O rganism s H arm ful to Plants or Plant Products) (Prohibition) (A m endm ent) R egulations, 2001. (2) T he E uropean C om m unities (Introduction of O rganism s H arm ful to Plants or Plant Products) (Prohibition) R egulations 1980 to 2000 and these R egulations m ay be cited together as the E uropean C om m unities (Introduction of O rganism s H arm ful to Plants or Plant Products) (Prohibition) R egulations 1980 to 2001. 2. In these R egulations "the Principal R egulations" m eans the E uropean C om m unities (Introduction of O rganism s H arm ful to Plants or Plant Products) (Prohibition) R egulations, 1980 (S.I. N o. 125 of 1980). 3. R egulation 2 of the Principal R egulations is hereby am ended by the substitution in paragraph (1), in the definition of "the D irective", for "and C om m ission D irective 2000/23/E C of 27 A pril 2000" (inserted by the E uropean C om m unities (Introduction of O rganism s H arm ful to Plants or Plant Products) (Prohibition) (A m endm ent) (N o. 2) R egulations, 2000 (S.I. N o. 135 of 2000)) of ", C om m ission D irective 2000/23/E C of 27 A pril 2000, C om m ission D irective 2001/32/E C of 8 M ay 2001 and C om m ission D irective 2001/33/E C of 8 M ay 2001".
