GUERNSEY STATUTORY INSTRUMENT 1988 No. "L.2 Made 31st day of August, 1988 Laid before the States ...................... i I G?EFFE 1 R ?'.lZL COURT ' 3 1 AUG 1988 Coming into Operation 1st day of September 1988 THE BOVINE SEMEN (IMPORTATION) ORDER, 1988 THE STATES AGRICULTURAL AND MILK MARKETING BOARD, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2A of The Bovine Semen and Artificial Insemination Ordinance, 1957, as amended (a), and now vested in it (b) hereby orders: 1. The Board hereby specifies as the breeds of bovines from which the Board may import semen or cause semen to be imported, under section 2A of The Bovine Semen and Artificial Insemination Ordinance, 1957, as amended, the following breeds of bovines: Aberdeen Angus ; $~elgian Blue; Charollais; Guernsey; Hereford; Limousin. 2. The Interpretation (Guernsey) Law, 1948 (c) applies to the interpretation of this Order as it applies to the interpretation of an enactment. 3. The Bovine Semen (Importation of Guernsey Breed Semen) Order, 1976 (dl and the Bovine Semen (Importation) Order, 1985 (e) are hereby repealed. 4. This Order may be cited as The Bovine Semen (Importation) Order, 1988. 5. This Order shall come into force on the 1st day of September, 1988.
