STATUTORY RULES OF NORTHERN IRELAND 2018 No. 196 ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION The Water Environment (Floods Directive) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2018 Made - - - - 27th November 2018 Coming into operation 21st December 2018 The Department for Infrastructure, being a Department designated(1) for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972(2) in relation to the environment makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by that Section. Citation and commencement 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Water Environment (Floods Directive) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2018 and shall come into operation on 21st December 2018. Amendment to the Water Environment (Floods Directive) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009 2.—(1) The Water Environment (Floods Directive) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009(3) are amended as follows. (2) In regulation 12(2)(c) omit “referred to in Annex 1 to Directive 2008/1/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning integrated pollution prevention and control”. (3) In regulation 12(3) substitute “regulation 8(2) of the 2003 Regulations” with “regulation 2 of the 2017 Regulations(4)”. (4) In regulation 17(1)(a)(viii) substitute “the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991” with “the Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011(5)”.
