of Lead Shot) (England) Regulations 1999 ("the 1999 Regulations") which apply in relation to England only. The 1999 Regulations prohibit the use of lead shot for shooting with a shot gun (a) on or over any area below the high-water mark; (b) on or over the sites of special scientific interest included in Schedule 1 to the 1999 Regulations; (c) any wild bird included in Schedule 2 to the 1999 Regulations. Regulation 2(2) of these Regulations substitutes a new Schedule 1 to the 1999 Regulations, providing a revised list of sites of special scientific interest to which the prohibition on the use of lead shot applies. Regulation 2(3) removes golden plover and common snipe from Schedule 2 of the 1999 Regulations. Details of the area covered by the sites of special scientific interest listed in the amended Schedule 1 to the 1999 Regulations can be obtained from English Nature at Northminster The Environmental Protection (Restriction on Use of Lead Shot) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 file:///D/HTML/uk34959.htm[16.01.2025 11:38:15] Other UK SIs | Home | National Assembly for Wales Statutory Instruments | Scottish Statutory Instruments | Statutory Rules of Northern Ireland | Her Majesty's Stationery Office We welcome your comments on this site © Crown copyright 2002 Prepared 4 September 2002 House, City Road, Peterborough, PE1 1UA.
