Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information (Amendment) Regulations 2015 (S.I. No. 469 of 2015)

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information (Amendment) Regulations 2015. (2) Subject to paragraph (3), these Regulations come into force on 1st July 2015. (3) Regulations 2(3) and 3 come into force on 1st January 2016. 2.—(1) The table at paragraph 4 of Schedule 1 (declaration of conformity) to the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products Regulations 2010(c) is amended as follows. (2) After item 22 insert— “23 A small, medium Commission Regulation (EU) No 548/2014 implementing or large power Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of transformer the Council with regard to ecodesign requirements for small, medium and large power transformers(d)”. (3) After item 23 (as inserted by paragraph (2)) insert— (a) S.I. 2010/1552. (b) 1972 c.68; section 2(2) was amended by section 27(1)(a) of the Legislative and Regulatory Reform Act 2006 (c.51) and section 3(3) of, and Part 1 of the Schedule to, the European Union (Amendment) Act 2008 (c.7). (c) S.I. 2010/2617, amended by S.I. 2011/2677, 2012/3005, 2013/1232 and 2014/1290. 3.—(1) The table at Schedule 1 (EU measures) to the Energy Information Regulations 2011(b) is amended as follows. (2) After the entry relating to domestic ovens and range hoods insert— “Residential ventilation Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 1st January 2016”. units No 1254/2014 supplementing Directive 2010/30/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to energy labelling of residential ventilation units(c) Amber Rudd Parliamentary Under Secretary of State 2nd March 2015 Department of Energy and Climate Change EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations amend the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products Regulations 2010 (S.I. 2010/2617) (“the 2010 Regulations”) and the Energy Information Regulations 2011 (S.I. 2011/1524) (“the 2011 Regulations”) and partially implement Commission Regulations (EU) Nos 548/2014 and 1253/2014, and Commission Delegated Regulations (EU) No 1254/2014 as follows— (a) regulation 2(2) and (3) adds two new products to Schedule 1 (declaration of conformity) to the 2010 Regulations— (i) small, medium and large power transformers to apply from 1st July 2015; (ii) ventilation units to apply from 1st January 2016; and (b) regulation 3 adds residential ventilation units to Schedule 1 (EU measures) to the 2011 Regulations to apply from 1st January 2016.
