S C O T T I S H S T A T U T O R Y I N S T R U M E N T S 2014 No. 357 FISHERIES RIVER SALMON AND FRESHWATER FISHERIES The Conservation of Salmon (Annual Close Time and Catch and Release) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2014 Made - - - - 10th December 2014 Laid before the Scottish Parliament 12th December 2014 Coming into force - - 9th January 2015 The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 38(1), (5)(c) and (6)(c) of, and paragraphs 7(b) and 14(1) of schedule 1 to, the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act 2003(a). In accordance with paragraphs 10, 11, 12 and 14(1) of schedule 1 to that Act they have consulted such persons as they considered appropriate, directed that notice be given of the general effect of these Regulations and considered representations and objections made. Citation and commencement 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Conservation of Salmon (Annual Close Time and Catch and Release) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2014 and come into force on 9th January 2015. (a) 2003 asp 15. Paragraph (c) of section 38(5) was inserted by the Aquaculture and Fisheries (Scotland) Act 2013 (asp 7), section 29(4). 2 Amendment to the Conservation of Salmon (Annual Close Time and Catch and Release) (Scotland) Regulations 2014 2. In the Schedule to the Conservation of Salmon (Annual Close Time and Catch and Release) (Scotland) Regulations 2014(a), in the entry for the Urr Salmon Fishery District (numbered 50), in column 3, for “[31st October] [29th November]” substitute “30th November”.
