W E L S H S TAT U T O RY I N S T R U M E N T S 2008 No. 1583 (W.158) ANIMALS, WALES ANIMAL HEALTH The Bluetongue (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations amend the Bluetongue (Wales) Regulations 2008 ("the principal Regulations") by replacing the second reference in regulation 17 of the principal Regulations to "the Secretary of State" with "the Welsh Ministers". W E L S H S TAT U T O RY I N S T R U M E N T S 2008 No. 1583 (W.158) ANIMALS, WALES ANIMAL HEALTH The Bluetongue (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 Made 18 June 2008 Laid before the National Assembly for Wales 18 June 2008 Coming into force 19 June 2008 The Welsh Ministers are designated(1) for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972(2) in relation to the common agricultural policy of the European Community. The Welsh Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972. Title, application and commencement 1. The title of these Regulations is the Bluetongue (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2008; they apply in relation to Wales come into force on 19 June 2008. Amendment 2. In regulation 17 of the Bluetongue (Wales) Regulations 2008(3) the second reference to "Secretary of State" is deleted and replaced with "Welsh Ministers". (1) O.S. 2005/2766.
