1 No. 1 GOVERNMENT OF FIJI GAZETTE SUPPLEMENT FRIDAY, 12th JANUARY 2024 [LEGAL NOTICE NO. 1] OFFSHORE FISHERIES MANAGEMENT REGULATIONS 2014 Offshore Fisheries Management (Amendment of Schedule 2A) Notice IN exercise of the powers conferred on me by regulation 57 of the Offshore Fisheries Management Regulations 2014, on the recommendation of the Permanent Secretary, I hereby amend paragraph 6 of Schedule 2A to the Offshore Fisheries Management Regulations 2014 by— (a) renumbering paragraph 6 as paragraph 6(1); (b) in subparagraph (1), deleting “31 December 2023” and substituting “29 February 2024”; and (c) after subparagraph (1), inserting the following new subparagraph— “(2) Notwithstanding subparagraph (1), from 1 January 2024 to 29 February 2024, the lifting of the seasonal ban does not apply to the harvesting of all species of sea cucumber listed in the table under paragraph 1.”.
