35 No. 9 GOVERNMENT OF FIJI GAZETTE SUPPLEMENT FRIDAY, 5th APRIL 2019 [LEGAL NOTICE NO. 19] FOOD SAFETY ACT 2003 Food Safety (Amendment) Regulations 2019 IN exercise of the powers conferred upon the Board by section 70 of the Food Safety Act 2003, the Board hereby makes these Regulations— Short title and commencement 1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Food Safety (Amendment) Regulations 2019. (2) These Regulations come into force on the date it is published in the Gazette. (3) In these Regulations, the Food Safety Regulations 2009 is referred to as the “Principal Regulations”. Regulation 3 amended 2. The Principal Regulations is amended in regulation 3 in paragraph (b) of the definition of “follow-on formula” by deleting “;” and substituting— “, and includes references to “follow-up formula” in the relevant standards;”. Schedule 23 amended 3. Schedule 23 to the Principal Regulations is amended by— (a) in the introductory paragraph after “72-1981”, inserting “, the Codex Stan 156-1987”; and (b) in paragraph (k)(i) after ““Follow-on Formula”” inserting “, “Follow-up Formula””.
