Proclamation No 129/ 2003 A Proclamation to Establish the National Drought Relief Coordinating Committee Whereas, a severe drought has struck various parts of Eritrea; Whereas, the effects of this severe drought can only be averted through, inter alia, the efficient and effective coordination of all those participating in the relief effort; whereas, such coordination is warranted at the highest level of government; Now, therefore, it is proclaimed as follows: 1. Short Title This Proclamation may be cited as the "National Drought Relief Coordinating Committee Establishment Proclamation No /2003 ". 2. Establishment There is hereby established the National Drought Relief Coordinating Committee (herein after the "Committee") to coordinate and oversee the activities of all governmental and non governmental agencies and organizations engaged in relief work. 3 3. Duty to Co-operate All governmental agencies and non - governmental organizations engaged in relief work in Eritrea shall have a duty to cooperate with the Committee in accordance with the Provisions of this Proclamation. 5. Effective Date This Proclamation shall be effective for one year as of the date of its publication in the Gazette of Eritrean Laws.
