2007 STANDARDS S.R.O. 31 COMMONWEALTH OF DOMINICA STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS NO. 31 OF 2007 ORDER Made by the Minister under section 20 of the Standards Act (No 4 of 1999) (Gazetted 26th July, 2007) 1. This Order may be cited as the STANDARDS ORDER 2007. 2. (1) The standards listed in section A, B and C of the Schedule are declared to be compulsory effective July, 2007. (2) The purposes of the standards listed in section A of the Schedule are intended to: (a) prevent fraud and deception arising from mis leading labeling; (b) protect the consumer against danger to health or safety; (c) give adequate information to the consumer or user; (d) ensure the quality of goods and services. Short title. Declaration and purpose of standards. 2007 STANDARDS S.R.O. 31 (3) The purposes of the standard listed in section B of the Schedule are intended to: (a) protect the consumer or user against danger to health or safety; (b) ensure acceptable quality of foods. (4) The purposes of the standard listed in section C of the Schedule are intended to: (a) protect the consumer or user against danger to health or safety; (b) safeguard the environment.
