2020 PESTICIDES CONTROL S.R.O. 1 (PROHIBITION) COMMONWEALTH OF DOMINICA STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS NO. 1 OF 2020. REGULATIONS MADE by the Minister under section 7(1)(a) of the Pesticides Control Act, (Chap. 40:10). (Gazetted January 16, 2020.) 1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the – PESTICIDES CONTROL (PROHIBITION) REGULATIONS, 2020. (2) These Regulations are deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of September 2019. 2. In these Regulations “the Act” means the Pesticides Control Act. 3. The importation of the following pesticides into Dominica is prohibited – (a) Roundup; (b) Roundup Ultra; (c) Touch Down; (d) Touch Down Ultra; (e) Glypos; and (f) any pesticide with the active ingredient glyphosate. Short title and commencement. Interpretation. Chap. 40:10. Prohibition. 2020 PESTICIDES CONTROL S.R.O. 1 (PROHIBITION) 4. A person who contravenes these Regulations is guilty of an offence and liable to the penalties imposed under section 8(2) or (3) of the Act. Made this 3rd day of January, 2020.
