"association" means Winter Cereals Manitoba Inc. (« Association ») "winter wheat" means all winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) produced in Manitoba. ("winter wheat") ../a018e.php ../a018f.php AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS' ORGANIZATION FUNDING A18 — M.R. 117/2008 07/082 Purpose 2 The purpose of this regulation is to enable the association to collect money from winter wheat producers to promote and financially support initiatives in the areas of production, marketing, extension, education and research, for the benefit of winter wheat producers in Manitoba. Designation 3 Winter Cereals Manitoba Inc. is designated as the representative organization of all producers of winter wheat in Manitoba. Fees 4 Every producer who produces and markets winter wheat must pay a fee to the association of $0.50 per tonne of winter wheat produced in Manitoba. Deduction of fees 5(1) Every purchaser who buys winter wheat from a producer must deduct from the money payable to the producer, the fees payable by the producer to the association. Use of fees 6 The association is authorized to use the fees for the purpose of defraying the expenses of the organization in carrying out its purpose. Refunds 7(1) A producer may apply to the association for a refund of fees. Books and records 8 Every purchaser of winter wheat produced in Manitoba must keep and maintain complete and accurate books and records respecting the purchase of winter wheat and provide copies of them when requested to do so by the agency.
