Interpretation Interprétation 2 In this Order, Act means the Territorial Sea and Fishing Zones Act; (Loi) Area, followed by a number, includes all islands and low tide elevations adjacent to the Area followed by that number; (région) C.H.S. Chart means Canadian Hydrographic Service Chart; (carte S.H.C.) geographical coordinates of points means the latitude and longitude of points determined by reference to Columns II and III of Schedules I to IV. (coordonnées géographiques) 2 Dans le présent décret, carte S.H.C. signifie carte du Service hydrographique du Canada; (C.H.S. Chart) coordonnées géographiques de points signifie la lati tude et la longitude de points établis d’après les colonnes II et III des annexes I à IV; (geographical coordinates of points) Loi signifie la Loi sur la mer territoriale et les zones de pêche; (Act) région, suivie d’un chiffre, comprend toutes les îles et tous les hauts-fonds découvrants qui sont adjacents à la région, suivis de ce chiffre. (Area) General Dispositions générales 3 The lists of geographical coordinates of points set out in Schedules I, II and III are hereby issued as lists of geo graphical coordinates of points from which baselines may be determined pursuant to the Act in respect of the Areas to which the Schedules relate. 3 Les listes de coordonnées géographiques de points éta blies dans les annexes I, II et III sont émises comme listes de coordonnées géographiques de points d’après lesquelles des lignes de base peuvent être déterminées en vertu de la Loi, à l’égard des régions auxquelles s’ap pliquent les annexes. 4 (1) In respect of the portions of Areas 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 for which the geographical coordinates of points are list ed in Schedule I, the baselines are straight lines joining the points so listed. 4 (1) En ce qui concerne les secteurs des régions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 et 6 pour lesquels les coordonnées géographiques de points sont établies dans l’annexe I, les lignes de base sont des lignes droites reliant les points qui sont ainsi in diqués. (3) In respect of the portions of Areas 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 consisting of the islands named and the low-tide eleva tions described in Schedule III, the baselines are the low water lines of the islands and of the low-tide elevations. (3) En ce qui concerne les secteurs des régions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 et 6 comprenant les îles nommées et les hauts-fonds dé couvrants décrits dans l’annexe III, les lignes de base sont les laisses de basse mer des îles et des hauts-fonds découvrants. 5 The list of geographical coordinates of points set out in Parts I and II of Schedule IV is hereby issued as a list of geographical coordinates of points from which, in respect of the portion of Area 3 to which that Schedule relates, the territorial sea outer limit line may be determined, in substitution for the territorial sea outer limit line de scribed in subsection 3(1) of the Act, (a) by straight lines joining the points set out in Part I thereof; and (b) by the geodesic line joining the points set out in Part II thereof.
