Amends section 8 of the principal Act.. ........................................ ......................... 2 No. 6 of2014 FORESTRY (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2014 ANACTTOAMENDTHEFORESTRYACT [Date of Assent - pt May, 2014] Enacted by the Parliament of The Bahamas 1. Short title and commencement. (1) This Act, which amends the Forestry Act (No. 20 of2010), may be cited as the Forestry (Amendment) Act, 2014. (2) This Act shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may by notice published in the Gazette, appoint. 2. Amends section 6 of the principal Act. Section 6 of the principal Act is amended by the insertion immediately after the words "land to be a forest reserve," of the words ''to be vested in the Minister and". 3. Amends section 7 of the principal Act. Subsection ( 1) of section 7 of the principal Act is amended by the insertion immediately after the words "Crown land to be a protected forest'' of the words ''to be vested in the Minister',, 4o Amends section 8 of the principal Act. Page- 2 Section 8 of the principal Act is amended by the insertion immediately after the words "a conservation forest" of the words ''to be vested in the Minister".
