Commencement These regulations take effect on 30 August 2016. 3. Interpretation In these regulations, unless the contrary intention appears – Act means the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994 . 4. Prescribed offences (1) For the purposes of section 72 of the Act – (a) [Regulation 4 Subregulation (1) amended by S.R. 2017, No. 79, Applied:15 Nov 2017] an offence under a provision of regulations specified in Schedule 3 is a prescribed offence; and (b) [Regulation 4 Subregulation (1) amended by S.R. 2017, No. 79, Applied:15 Nov 2017] . . . . . . . .
