Leg 1: Colombia

Where the goods start

Doré bar - unstamped → Doré bar - stamped/exporter-sealed

  1. 1

Melt aggregated dust or doré into bars at a RUCOM plant/smelter (plants may only beneficiate minerals of authorised exploiters); weigh and assay; when the plant sells, it issues a certificado de origen de planta de beneficio listing the exploiters whose mineral it processed

    Industry practice

Melting/assay is industry practice. The PTM "cierre por transformación" applies where the mineral becomes an industrial derivative closing the chain (ANM guide, Dec 2025), so melting into bars for sale is not recorded as a transformation [inferred]; r1 said it was.

    Official guidance
  7. 7
