The US-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement (in force 15 May 2012) puts HTS 7108.12.50 and 7108.13.70 (4.1% MFN) in staging category A, so Colombian-originating gold enters duty-free (special code CO); bullion, doré and the other 7108 lines are free for all. The 12.5% Section 301 forced-labor tariff on products of Colombia (from 24 Jul 2026) does not apply to gold: all 7108 subheadings are exempt under HTSUS chapter 99 U.S. note 52(b). The US is Colombia's largest gold destination (2024), and US-recorded imports exceed Colombia's recorded exports.
