DECIDES: Article 1.- The list of objects subject to plant quarantine upon their import, export, tempornry-import for re-export,..te:mpornry-export for re-import or trnnsit in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam shall include: l. Plants: a/ Various kinds of saplings and their parts used as strains, such as: seeds, scion, phyton, rhizocorm, shoots, fruits, roots, tubers, plant tissues wluch are cultivated in artificial environment (medium). b/ Assmied plants and their pmis as· Hower buds, flmvers, fruits, bra11chcs, (runks and stems, leaves, roots, tubers, seeds, barks and other pilrls in different fron1s. 2. Plant products: rice, broken rice, ilssorted floms, malt, bran, oil•-cake: assorted seeds, tea, jute fibers, tobacco shreds, tobacco leaves, alcohol yeast . cast timber and timber products: rattan, bamboo, mals, rush, rice stnnv and stem; assorted medicinal m;:itcrial::: assorted tapestry of vcgetal origin~. Article 2. • For ohj ccts subject lo export p !ant q11arantine they shall be quarantined onl:y when so rcgucslcd by cllstomcrs or under international trnatics which Viet1rnm has signed or acceded to. Article 3.- This Decision replaces Decision No. 50/ 1999/QD/BNN-BVTV of March 16, 1999 of the Minister of Agricul lure aml Rural Development and takes eflect 15 days after its signing. Article 4. - The Director of the Ministry's Office, the Director of Pl ant Protec ti on, the heads of concerned uni ts and individuals shall have to implement this Decision.
