Ingingo ya 4: Urwego rureberera METEO RWANDA METEO RWANDA irebererwa na Minisiteri ifite ubumenyi bw’ikirere mu nshingano. within the guideline of the World Meteorological Organization; 8° meteorological services: meteorological data services such as weather forecasts, issuance of alerts, advisories and warnings, provision of climatological and related environmental information, provision of education and training in meteorology and related sciences in partnership with institutions of higher learning and dissemination systems. Article 3: Category METEO RWANDA falls within the category of non-commercial public institutions. Ingingo ya 7: Inshingano METEO RWANDA ifite inshingano zikurikira: 1° gutanga amakuru ajyanye n’ubumenyi bw’ikirere n’isano Article 5: Head office The head office of METEO RWANDA is located in the City of Kigali. It may be relocated elsewhere on the territory of Rwanda if considered necessary, upon approval by the Cabinet meeting. METEO RWANDA may have branches elsewhere in the country if considered necessary in order to fulfil its responsibilities, upon approval by the Ministry in charge of meteorology. CHAPTER II: MISSION, RESPONSIBILITIES AND POWERS Article 6: Mission The mission of METEO RWANDA is to provide accurate weather and climate information on time for the socio economic development and well-being of the population. Article 7: Responsibilities METEO RWANDA has the following responsibilities: 1° to provide hydro-meteorological information such as weather Article 5: Siège Le siège de METEO RWANDA est établi dans la Ville de Kigali. CHAPITRE II: MISSION, ATTRIBUTIONS ET POUVOIRS Article 6: Mission La mission de METEO RWANDA est de fournir des informations exactes sur le temps qu’il fait et sur le climat, en temps réel, pour le développement socio économique et le bien-être du peuple. 2° to guide and assist public, private entities and individuals to integrate weather and climate information into their short and long-term investments for their productivity and sustainability; 3° to provide aeronautical meteorological services and information through air navigation services; 6° gukora no gushyigikira ubushakashatsi n’amahugurwa mu rwego rwo gushyigikira ubumenyi bw’ihinduka ry’ikirere, imiterere y’ibihe n’ihinduka ry’ibihe kandi aho bibaye ngombwa bigakorwa mu byiciro bifitanye isano no gufasha guhuza ibikorwa ku rwego exchange of weather and climate data information in accordance with guidelines provided by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and other international and regional bodies working in meteorology; 5° to set up meteorological stations and regulate the surface or upper air meteorological observations, standardization of national meteorological data and information and the publication of climatological statistics and studies in Rwanda; 6° to conduct and support research and training in support of weather, climate and climate change science and as appropriate in related fields, and to assist in coordinating the international aspects of such research and trainings; He or she coordinates and directs the activities of METEO RWANDA.
