[CAP. 20:24 Water (Subcatchment Councils) (Rates) (Amendment) Regulations, 2020 (No. 7) THE Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Water and Rural Resettlement has, in terms of section 119 of the Water Act [Chapter 20:24], and after consultation with the Subcatchment Councils, made the following regulations:— 1. These regulations may be cited as theWater (Subcatchment Councils) (Rates) (Amendment) Regulations, 2020 (No. 7). 2. The Water (Subcatchment Councils) (Rates) Regulations, 2005, published in Statutory Instrument 6 of 2005 (hereinafter called “the principal regulations”), are amended by the repeal of section 2 (b) and the substitution of— “(b) in respect of the direct abstraction of water by a permit holder or other levies as outlined in the Schedule, shall be an amount per quarter obtained by applying the following formula— C x D 4 in which— C. represents the total volume in megalitres (ML) of the water permitted to be abstracted under permit; D. represents the rate specifi ed in the second column of the Schedule.”. 3.
