14th August, 2020 Statutory Instruments GOVERNMENT OF ZAMBIA Statutory Instrument No. 70 of 2020 The Plant Pests and Diseases Act (Laws, Volurne 14, Cap 233) The Plant Pests and Diseases (Plant Quarantine and Phytosanita:ry Service Fees) Regulations, 2020 IN EXERCISE of the powers contained in sections 4, 9 and 29 of the Plant Pests and Diseases Act, the following Regulations are made: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Plant Pests and Title Diseases (Plant Quarantine and Phytosanitary Service Fees) Regulations, 2020. 415 2. In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise Interpretation requires~ "commercial "in relation to plants and plant products means plants or plant products whose end use is trade; " fresh produce " means fresh fruits, vegetables and cut flowers that are exported to foreign markets; and " non-cmn.'llercial " means plants or plant products whose end use is for domestic consumption. 3. (c) A farm inspection and fann audit up to a hectare excluding the cost of transport is 1,000 fee units. (d) A fann inspection for each additional hectare to an inspection under paragraph (c), excluding charge of transport, is i66 fee units.
